El portero del club León Rodolfo Cota, se unió a las protestas por los feminicidios en México. Lo hizo al finalizar el encuentro entre León y Necaxa, correspondiente a la Jornada 7 del Clausura 2020 de la Liga MX.
Tras finalizar el encuentro, el arquero mexicano se quitó la camiseta de portero para dejar al descubierto una playera blanca con la imagen de una mujer sin vida recostada sobre la bandera de la república mexicana en un charco desangre como forma de protesta.
Cota subió las imágenes y las compartió en sus redes sociales, acompañándolas con un par de emojis: unas manos en forma de oración y el otro una cara de enojado, lo que fue bien tomado por la afición.
A pesar de este gran gesto por parte del jugador, podría ser castigado por la Comisión Disciplinaria, la cual indica en su artículo 71 Bis, que los futbolistas no deben mostrar mensajes o leyendas de cualquier tipo de ideología política o religión.
“A todos los sujetos a este Reglamento que incurran en las faltas que se señalan a continuación, se les sancionará según corresponda en cada caso: a) No mantener una postura neutral ante temas de carácter político y/o religioso Multa de 500 a 4000 UMA’s y/o de 1 a 3 partidos de suspensión”, Reglamento Liga MX.
