El canciller Marceló Ebrard informó la mañana de este miércoles que la novena Cumbre de Líderes de América del Norte —Estados Unidos, Canadá y México— se llevará a cabo el próximo 18 de noviembre en Washington D. C.
Dijo que la reunión presencial entre el presidente Joe Biden, el primer ministro Justin Trudeau y el presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador tendrá una duración de dos horas.
El secretario de Relaciones Exteriores detalló que los tres temas principales que se abordarán en la reunión serán:
COVID-19 y seguridad sanitaria de América del Norte: acceso justo a vacunas y medicamentos.
Competitividad: crear condiciones para un crecimiento equitativo y exitoso.
Cooperación para el desarrollo: migración.
Señaló que será la primera reunión presencial con Biden y Trudeau, así como la primera cumbre trilateral desde hace cinco años, a nivel de jefes de Estado.
Asimismo, el canciller destacó que el presidente López Obrador sostendrá un diálogo bilateral con Biden y con Trudeau, con una duración estimada de una hora cada uno.
