Ciudad de México.- La paraestatal Petróleos Mexicanos detectó un nuevo yacimiento de petróleo en Veracruz, el cual presuntamente tiene una capacidad enorme.
De acuerdo a los primeros informes, este yacimiento cuenta con una reserva de poco más de cinco mil millones de barriles de petróleo crudo.
Al respecto, Pemex señaló que se trata de uno de los yacimientos más importantes de las últimas décadas para Pemex, lo que permitiría rescatar la industria, con una revitalización de esta, lo que a su vez explotará el desarrollo del país.
El hallazgo fue hecho por la empresa Talos Energy, la cual de inmediato dio aviso a Pemex, quien se desplazó al lugar y realizó las exploraciones necesarias.
“Vamos a perforar este año trampas grandes, vamos a perforar oportunidades exploratorias grandes que no habíamos hecho en los años anteriores, con el objetivo de encontrar una que cambie el panorama para Pemex y para México”, señalaron funcionarios de Pemex.
