El gobierno de Michoacán investiga la asignación irregular de camionetas al arzobispado de Morelia durante la administración de Silvano Aureoles Conejo.
Se trata de más de 30 camionetas RAM de doble cabina que fueron adquiridas para seguridad y salud pero que fueron “desviadas” para otros fines ajenos al interés público.
El gobernador Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla señaló que el caso ya fue turnado a la Contraloría del estado y las camionetas serán recuperadas para el uso de programas estatales.
Durante el fin de semana, medios nacionales señalaron el vínculo entre el arzobispo Carlos Garfias Merlos y el hoy prófugo Silvano Aureoles Conejo como medio para beneficiar con vehículos a la iglesia.
Al respecto, Ramírez Bedolla exhortó a la iglesia a devolver cualquier vehículo que les haya sido entregado durante el silvanato.
“No es una persecución a la iglesia católica. Si algún sacerdote o alguna persona trae una camioneta de esta, que la devuelva, es mejor que la entregue personalmente porque seguramente a quienes se las dieron las tomaron de buena fe, sería bueno que las entreguen para que ya se aclare esta situación”, explicó el mandatario.
