“Yo no voy a votar por esa pendejada, es una jalada, un engaño a los mexicanos. No es correcto lo que se está planteando”, declaró el expresidente de México, Vicente Fox en entrevista para Radio Fórmula.
Declaró que el gobierno debe tomar la decisión y asumir las consecuencias de las obras, pues los pueblos no son sabios, para ejemplo, puso el Brexit, que los ciudadanos de Reino Unido decidieron a favor y ahora “no se la acaban de arrepentidos”.
Asimismo, dijo que no votará por la consulta al Nuevo Aeropuerto Internacional de México, y acusó al tabasqueño de haber sido uno de los culpables de no poder concretar una obra así entre los años 2000 y 2006.
“Se evitó por macheteros que con gran violencia salieron a las calles, pararon el tráfico, pararon carreteras, después de que estuvimos platicando”.
La consulta que el próximo gobierno de Andrés Manuel López Obrador busca realizar a la ciudadanía es terminar el aeropuerto en Texcoco, Estado de México, o habilitar pistas en la base aérea de Santa Lucía.
El exmandatario reconoció que se debe realizar a fin de que México no siga siendo un país tercermundista, “no queremos ser un país tercermundista, queremos un aeropuerto que sea un verdadero promotor de desarrollo”.
