Ciudad de México, 8 de mayo de 2025 — El peso mexicano mostró una ligera apreciación frente al dólar estadounidense este jueves, cerrando la jornada en 19.53 unidades por billete verde, según datos de Bloomberg.
Este movimiento se da en un contexto de menores tensiones comerciales y tras la publicación de datos de inflación en México. A pesar de que la inflación anual en abril se ubicó en 3.93%, superando las expectativas del mercado, el peso logró mantenerse firme.
En ventanillas bancarias, el tipo de cambio presentó variaciones. En CitiBanamex, el dólar se cotizó en 18.96 pesos a la compra y 20.12 pesos a la venta, mientras que en Banco Azteca se ubicó en 18.70 pesos a la compra y 20.05 pesos a la venta.
Analistas de Grupo Financiero Monex señalaron que, durante las últimas semanas, el peso ha mostrado una apreciación significativa, impulsado por una llamada productiva entre los presidentes de México y Estados Unidos. Sin embargo, la falta de confirmación sobre un acuerdo concreto ha frenado el optimismo, derivando en una tendencia lateral con sesgo alcista.
Se espera que el tipo de cambio se mantenga dentro de un rango acotado entre los 19.46 y los 19.76 pesos, a la espera de mayor visibilidad en torno a temas arancelarios y la evolución de la economía estadounidense.
Para el resto del año, el Banco de México proyecta que el dólar cotice en una media que va desde los 20.24 pesos hasta los 20.69 pesos, un pronóstico conservador considerando las repercusiones que podrían traer las políticas comerciales de Estados Unidos.
En resumen, el peso mexicano continúa mostrando resiliencia frente al dólar, a pesar de los desafíos económicos tanto a nivel nacional como internacional.
