Suman más de mil 200 las víctimas del terremoto y tsunami en Indonesia registrado el pasado viernes.
E l vicepresidente del ACT, Insan Nurrohman, informó que el número de muertos llegó a mil 203 en varios lugares y precisó que el mayor número de víctimas hasta ahora se ha registrado en Petobo, el cual “fue arrasado y destruido por el tsunami”, destacó la agencia Antara.
Nurrohman detalló que 700 cadáveres fueron encontrados en Kelurahan Petobo, 10 en el Hospital Wirabuana, 201 en el Hospital Undata, 50 en la Mezquita Mesjid Raya, 161 en el Hospital Bhayangkara, 35 en el sub-distrito de Tawaeli, dos en la aldea de Kayumalue Pajeko, cinco en la aldea de Kawatuna, siete en Pos Pol PP y 32 en el hospital Madani.

De acuerdo con las autoridades, se teme que la cifra de muertos aumente ya que aún faltaban varias personas por encontrar, entre ellos 61 extranjeros, mientras 540 se encuentran en estado grave en varios hospitales.
Añadió que 16 mil 732 personas estaban en campamentos de evacuación en 123 lugares de la ciudad de Palu, distritos de Donggala, Sigi y Parigi Moutong.
Un potente terremoto de magnitud 7.5 azotó la isla indonesia de Célebes este viernes y se produjo a unos 56 kilómetros al noreste de la ciudad de Donggala, mientras que momentos después se registró un tsunami.
El terremoto se registró tan solo unas horas después de otro fuerte sismo, de magnitud 6.1, en la misma zona, seguido por varias réplicas.
