”Huecos” reúne los relatos y fragmentos de vida de seis mujeres de México, Colombia, Bosnia, Kosovo y Serbia, que sufrieron la desaparición de un familiar cercano.
Morelia, Michoacán.- La periodista mexicana Chantal Flores, presentó en Morelia su libro “Huecos”, en el que reúne los testimonios de seis mujeres de 5 países, que comparten historias de desaparición forzada.
Desde la cafebrería “El Traspatio”, la periodista independiente originaria de Monterrey, contó que su libro fue escrito a lo largo de nueve años, periodo en el que se percató de que este fenómeno de la criminalidad es cada vez más frecuente.
“Yo me acuerdo cuando empecé a cubrir desapariciones, era lejos de mi entorno y cada vez a lo largo de estos nueve años, es cada vez más cerca, ya no es el amigo del amigo de una amiga, ya es alguien de mi colonia, en mi barrio”, expresó.
Recordó que en México, existen cerca de 100 mil casos reportados “y aún sigue siendo tabú hablar de desapariciones”.
Luego de documentar casos de desapariciones en Guerrero, Sinaloa y Coahuila, llegó a la conclusión de que “México no es el único país que puede estar pasando por esto”, por lo que decidió a viajar a Medellín, Colombia, para registrar otros casos; más tarde, viajó a la región de Los Balcanes, donde continuó con la labor periodística que permitió reunir más historias que dieron vida a su obra “Huecos”.
Dora Jaimes, activista y miembro del Comité de Familiares de Personas Detenidas Desaparecidas en México, COFADDEM “Alzando voces”, quien acompañó a Chantal Flores durante la presentación de la obra, consideró que “Huecos” logra transmitir a los lectores los sentimientos que surgen en las familias de las víctimas de desaparición.
“El objetivo de la desaparición es sembrar miedo, sembrar terror, y lo que te pasa cuando te desaparecen a un familiar es que te quedas en shock, porque no sabes si hablar, no hablar, decir o callar, pero el objetivo ya se cumplió, que es mantenerte inmóvil, por eso me parece tan perverso el hecho de la desaparición”.
El libro “Huecos” se encuentra disponible en la librería “El Traspatio”, con un costo de 320 pesos.
